I want to hear what you guys have to say about the summer meet at babler park today.
good and bad. so that way I can see what needs improvement for a better and more well organized meet. there was some complications of waiting for people to show. so that made other people just leave and go do their own thing. i can understand that. I just want to get a better crowd the next time around.

Well you know you're going to have 50% or less of people who say they are going to show, to actually show.
When I do my cruises, I find it best to tell people specific times for the meet up/leaving. If you just say that you'll be at the park til whenever, people aren't motivated to show up when they should. People will always go later. It's better to tell people an absolute time to leave and potentially lose a few people arriving late, than make those that show up "on time" wait for potential stragglers. And make specific plans AKA "We will go here". It's ok to ask people ahead of time and during the meet if they are ok with it or if they have a better idea.
In the case of today, there was supposed to be a cruise to the Valley around lunch time. We were all waiting...and waiting...and getting hungry. Had to do something so we went to Culvers. I don't think that it ruined the day, I enjoyed talking to people and a few new people. Sucks it was hot and buggy... otherwise... pretty good way to spend a Saturday.

Well I was glad you got something together.
But I agree with ryan.
We cant wait for people for extended periods. At some point we need to move on. What you plan online just stick to in person. Thats what the people showed up for. Dont be afraid to jump in there and tell people its time to roll out. Many of us were waiting wondering what was going on.
But honestly for your first attempt it wasnt bad at all. And thanks for the food btw.
Just next time stick to the plan you put up on the board. And get peoples attention as to the plans of the meet. They will follow if you lay it down.
And as ryan said if you have 60 people saying they are going then plan on 20-30 actually showing up. Its just the ways of things.
But as i said good first attempt.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you.
Hope this helps
Yes I own 2 slow red chick cars & 1 real car!

Did any of this ever happen? Some of us left "early" so I didn't get to see.
In general though, car people like to drive....I think that was the biggest part I missed.
