Tint Prescription

So guys my mom went to the eye doctor and convinced her for a prescription for tint. Well my cars in my moms name so shes letting me use this prescription. Does anyone on this site have one? How exactly does it work, like i get pulled over and just show it to the cop?

Im gonna get my windshield and doors done. 35% on windshield and probably 20% on doors. I already have 20% on the rear already.

It's a sticker that you get and you put it in the corner of your windshield. Like your inspection sticker. However, sometimes its a little harder to get than you think. My friend got an actual order from a doctor to get this since he does have some eye issues. He also happens to have illegal tint. However, he told me the only place you can go to get the sticker is the Troop C off of 40 & Mason and the officer was a dick and wouldn't give it to him. Most likely because he looked like a kid. So if you do get it, have your mom go get the sticker.

Troop C moved out to HWY 40 and 94.

Ah i read that you had to get a sticker but was hoping it wasnt true. Ah FML. Guess ill have to have my mom go give it a shot. Do you know if you have to have the car with you at the time they issue you the sticker? If they walk out and look at my car they will know its not my moms. Lowered, exhaust, spoiler, rims, and CF. I would be screwed then for sure.

well techically the cars in your moms name though Tim, they cant argue that one, if they give you a ticket you can protest it cause you mom does drive your car.... well when you hurt your leg, but they dont need to know that! Plus sticker doesnt have your mom's name on it correct?

all the tint your getting isnt illegal... Mio law states front half to be 35% no darker, the rest can be whatever.. and I think no more than 3in" strip on front windsheild. Unless your talking about tinting the entire front windsheild... if thats the case I'd get limo, and most tint places wont tint entire windsheild, but I'm sure that sticker would change a few things

You can tint all the way to the A line on the front windshield. Also, to add to what my friend did. As he was being rejected by the trooper for the sticker, he was looking at the map behind the trooper and next closest station was like 90 miles away.

I have 15% sides and rear and 35% on the entire windshield on the TL-S, I love it.

The way I understand how it works is, you actually have to go to Troop C and they'll send you to an eye doc of their choosing so that they can be sure everything is how you say. Once the exam is done, you have to go back to them with the paper work and then they can still reject you. In the end, it's just not worth all the hassle after it's all said and done.

plus, the doctor writes the prescription for the %...it's not up to the patient.

if he wasn't banned, you could have asked integ2000ls since he got the medical prescription for tint on his cars.
