I was getting onto hwy 61 after adjusting my throttle and idle. I went to take off and i accelerated hard through first gear. When the front wheel started to pull up I let off the throttle to shift to second but it stuck wide open and the bike 12 o'clocked on me. After the tail section hit the ground I hit the rear brake to try and save it but it came down too violently and threw me up and over the front of the bike. I landed flat on my back at about 50mph then started to roll. Then the bike caught up with me and ran me over.
I immediately hopped up and took my helmet off (bad idea) and sat down while people around me stopped and called 911. After the adrenaline wore off my body went into shock and I almost passed out when I was sitting up. They took me to the hospital and I got out at about 4 this morning.
Sorry I didn't get any pics of the scene, I was a little preoccupied.
My buddy Gene happened to show up at just the right time to be able to take the bike for me. I'll get pics of it up after I get it back.
Here's a pic of the damage to me...

I've decided it's time to stick with four wheels for a little while. I might be back next riding season but I need to take the rest of this season off.
Thank god for full coverage insurance. I'll be taking the check from insurance and put it towards an NSX.
BTW
Amy, I can't thank you enough for being there for me, at the scene and the hospital. I can't tell you just how much that meant to me and how much it helped.
Thank you dear.
