If you believe strongly in any political issue, you should read this. Im going to keep my .02 out of it for now and kind of see others thoughts on the issues. You need to be informed, not only by "mainstream" media, but of all "facts" given to you.

Wow another Obama Stabfest. I'll admit that most of the article is valid. As usually there is basically no contrast shown for what good has come from is first 100. Which BTW is his first 100. Lemme guess swine flu is because of Obama too? While jobs are crapping out left and right, think about this. What does a city, county, or state government change/accomplish in 100 days? Not much. I didn't really want Obama, I wanted Barr but, I voted Obama just to put some defense on McCain and Sarah's religious based BS. Go ahead and pick him apart now in the first chapter of his book.

i think south park said it best, you pick between a giant douche, or a turd sandwich.
while a lot may be hard to accomplish in 100 days, i dont see it getting any better to be honest.

me neither. him throwing billions of dollars into companies that got into this situation by not knowing how to spend money? that makes sense. money cant fix problems that are caused by people carelessly spending money in the first placeMidoriMiller;178200 wrote:i think south park said it best, you pick between a giant douche, or a turd sandwich.

its not the fact that its his first 100 days, but the claims and the way he tries to polish the truth in his favor. it blows my mind how many people still back this "politician" 100%. mainstream media is so corrupt on both sides its kind of funny. this was pretty much a factual article with the only opinion stated being Obama's. This man is not going to lead us to better times. Everything the GOVT controls is either crooked or not worth a shit, and now we have people supporting a man who wants to run one of the largest auto companies in the world. Keep in mind he has never managed/owned a business ever.
Do shit for yourselves and dont depend on the GOVT to wipe your ass. You cannot say that you believe that, and also believe in Obama.

Admittedly I am a Conservative for what that is worth. A Conservative that works at a non-profit, but still right of center.bildo16;178239 wrote:its not the fact that its his first 100 days, but the claims and the way he tries to polish the truth in his favor. it blows my mind how many people still back this "politician" 100%. mainstream media is so corrupt on both sides its kind of funny. this was pretty much a factual article with the only opinion stated being Obama's. I recently read a great opinion piece about the Obama presidency.
The Obama administration is promoting the false idea that we can all enjoy unlimited government programs and spending, while "someone" else pays for it. We are all enjoying tax cuts while spending is out of control. He also promises to halve the deficit while only increasing taxes on the rich. The whole idea is preposterous. There is a cost. We cannot increase the size and scope of government while only the wealthy bare the burden.
Eventually we will all pay for it. It might not be in taxes at first, but the increased business costs of Cap and Trade or the "Card Check" scheme.
To reiterate, we cannot increase spending at these amounts, enjoy tax cuts and only expect the wealthy to pay for it. Eventually it will catch up with us.

In all honesty, with recent events, our democracy is starting to take a socialist route. Government interacting with business...okay, not such an absurd idea. But what is a little outrageous is when government starts owning business...now that's just socialist. Yes, our great and fearless leader wants to reduce the deficit by half. But what a lot of people don't realize is that within his first three months, he created such a large deficit that even if he did cut it in half, we'd still owe A LOT more than what we started with when he entered office in the first place. I realize that something needed to be done, but when's the line going to be drawn? We're getting a slight stimulus in our paychecks every week...approximately $9-$12 per week, but a whole lot of money has either gone to or is going to banks. Why? So banks can create more loans. Thanks to the multiplyer effect (and yes it is a term), banks can create loans worth several more times the amount of money they have reserved. This is what kind of got us into the situation in the first place. So what are we supposed to do? Take out more loans to pay our existing loans off? Yeah right. I see people buying more stupid shit that they don't need. So, I agree that a huge turnaround isn't going to happen in his first 100 days, but I don't see a huge turnaround happening anytime in the near future.bildo16;178239 wrote:its not the fact that its his first 100 days, but the claims and the way he tries to polish the truth in his favor. it blows my mind how many people still back this "politician" 100%. mainstream media is so corrupt on both sides its kind of funny. this was pretty much a factual article with the only opinion stated being Obama's. I agree with this. I believe heavily in the quote "a government big enough to give you everything you want is big enough to take everything you have". Government needs to stay out of the banking industry, the housing market, the stock market, health care, and the auto industry. They will only ruin everything and handicap peoples capabilities to do great things. Obviously I'm a conservative and agree with nothing Obama has done or said. He has done nothing but continued to run a campaign these first 100 days. It's all he knows how to do. I will also that I was not a fan of Mcain however.bildo16;178239 wrote:Do shit for yourselves and dont depend on the GOVT to wipe your ass.
