Dyno'd my Avalanche.

Post by RyanA »

Well, decided to see what the Avalanche would put down so we strapped it to the dyno today. 300 rwhp and 301 rwtq. First pull, hit the speed limiter I had set of 126 mph. Got rid of that and all was well.

Stock Avalanche 1500 would put down around 225 whp and 260 wtq.

My mods on the Av are: 6.0 engine swap, Comp Xtreme high lift 212/218 .558/.563, Pacesetter long tubes. Still running through stock air box and exhaust piping is stock but muffler has been replaced with a GM 8100 big block muffler.

my uncle just sold his caddy ext that he had an intercooled vortec kit put on... 6.0's run good and great power with a little modding.

that thing moved pretty well for being a whale w/ big wheels.

good numbers for mostly stock... thumbs up.

Mostly stock lmfao... It's a whole different engine. I know what you meant though. Thats pretty close to what my 4.6 puts out NA, but its a 5 speed. Have you tracked it yet? I bet its a low 14 second truck maybe even 13's with traction.
