window is screwed???

Post by Tyler »

so a couple weeks ago i was drivin and rolled down the window and when i went to roll it back up it wouldnt go up all the way and once it got to about 1/2 an inch from being rolled up it would make a loud clicking noise and sounded like it was off track, the window rolls down and up to a certain point fine. over the weeks it has gotten worse and is now only rolling up to about 1 1/2 inches from the top. we have been pulling the glass up with our hands and it has been staying, until yesterday when me and a friend took the door panel off to try and fix it. whatever is messing up is behind the metal in the door, so we didnt try to get past that. instead my friend decided to spray wd-40 all along the window to see if it would work.....it didnt. now the window slides down as soon as you pull it up, meaning that with all the rain today, my car was soaked. i tried rolling the window up a few min ago and now i cant even pull it up at all. any ideas?

get a piece of wood and put it inside the door under the window to hold it up.

sounds like you need a new window regulator, takes about an hour to replace

try a pair of pliers, that way you can also use it to pull the window up if needed. thats what my friend does..
