what a night

Post by Spork »

well, I woke up at 2:30 so i could work at 4...GAY! and I was pretty annoyed with the fact that this is work day #6 this week, AND I would be working alone (well, by myself up front, and one cook in back) making shit money for working shitty hours. blah blah blah. I hate my life. blah blah blah. i get home. I check one of my forums and got this message... or maybe it was a prophecy... either way, I think I see my future.

So this guy (we'll say 'a friend of a friend') contacted me to let me know that he just came into possession of a 95 vtec sol (yes, factory vtec sol) and he heard that I was looking for one. (anyone want a crx? :D)

BUT WAIT! my parents come home from some party at their freinds house and tell me they have some "really great news" (said not sarcastically) they talked to some friends of theirs for me, and it looks like (barring any last minute resistance by the mrs.) tomorrow the friends will sign the title over to me and I will become the new uhhh 'proud' owner of an Alfa Romeo Spider! they don't want it anymore because it doesn't fit their whole family and they bought a delta royale conv. to replace it. ...and it gets better: the car is FREE and it apparently runs great!
(the Spiders look like this, and its this kind of light blue color:

Smiley overload man. :msnparty:

Trade the Spider for the Del Sol and keep the CRX as a side project.

3 cars is not an option either, otherwise I would have been planning on buying the sol and keeping the rex all along. :(

never saw the interior, but i'd imagine its in great shape, and iirc the exterior is damn clean, don't remember any damage at all. they have had this car for about 3 years, I remember they bought it before I learned how to drive stick. and i remember the story of how they got it actually: the previous owner was a kid who got it from his dad while he was living with him down south for the summer. when he got home his mom and step dad hated the car and forced him to sell it, he refused, and they did it for him. so my parents friend picked it up (on impulse as a gift for his wife) for $2000 because the kids parents wanted it gone, and didn't care what they got for it.

in good condition these cars can fetch from $2-3000 up to the $6000 range, so free wouldn't be a bad deal :D

I can store a car or two for the small fee of you leaving me the keys and you stopping by to fill them up with gas at least twice a week. ;)

But really, congrats on the new ride, send the fuckin' karma train my way when you're finished with it.
