PROBLEM:lower control arm ball/socket
so, i put my new cv axel assembly on the drivers side of my gsr. now all i have to do is put in the ball and socket joint at the lower control arm. i cant seem to get the compressor to work right. would i have to take off the rotor to use the ball/socket press correctly? thanks a lot. i could get pictures up if people really neded them to know what im talking about. thanks

the one already on there to go back in. its just that the rotor gets in the way when i try and do this. so im guessin that ill have to just pull it apart and try it without the rotor and caliper on........

how did u get the ball joint out to begin with? i think im misunderstanding you as you are not wording it correctly. if u are just trying to put the it back into the lower control arm then thats simple. if u are replacing a ball joint u still dont have to tear the stuff apart.

you can move the end of the ball joint, just point it away and then set it down in the hole...
