I have a 2000 Accord that I have to replace the right rear suspension on, and I'm stumped on how to remove the shock/strut in order to replace it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Unbolt the top bolts on behind the panel in the trunk...I guess that is how it is on the Accords.
then unbolt the bolt on the lower control arm, or where the strut comes down and bolts onto the LCA. Then work backwards to reinstall the new parts.
New LCAs might be needed because the bolt for the stuts on the LCAs are sometimes notorious for breaking...

The whole rear suspension has to be replaced cause of how it got hit. Only thing salvageable on it was the sway bar. I've already taken all the truck carpeting out and didn't see any bolts for the top of the strut. :confused2:99BlackHatch;127446 wrote:Unbolt the top bolts on behind the panel in the trunk...I guess that is how it is on the Accords.

Shock/strut removal
Got it. Had to prove my dad wrong, who thought we would have to take the rear panel off to get to it rather than just folding the seats down and removing that back piece. Once that was off, it only took about 5mins to remove the old shock/strut.
Thanks for the info guys
