D4 light flashing

Post by JDMinspired »

Background: 99 Acura TL, 267,xxx miles. Transmission replaced at 186,xxx. Just drove from StL to Chicago and back this week. Got back to StL, got gas, pulled out of gas station in sport shift mode, check engine light and TCS light comes on and the D4 light started to flash. Pulled over and put in park,
D4 light continues to flash. Drove home and parked car for few hours. Later in evening backed car out of garage and check engine light remains on but nothing else. Has anyone seen this done before and if so what could the issue be. Transmission? Engine? Traction control system? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Mine did that once, I turned it off, and on again, and had the check engine light on, it went off in about a day lol.

But from what I understand, its a transmission thing

Pull the check engine light and see the codes. D4 will flash when there is a Transmission fault in the PCM as well as the TCS will illuminate with a CEL on as well.
