FINALLY. I got everything like I wanted for the trans and got it all together tonight. Bought 3 differentials before I finally ended up with what I think is what I really want. Here is what I did:

1. Had case baking soda blasted so it looks like a brand new trans
2. Chemically cleaned it inside until it was like new and spotless
3. Installed new speedo drive gear and bearings on the new OEM ITR LSD and set up bearing to case clearance
4. Installed new bearings in clutch housing along with new seals everywhere.
5. Assembled counter shaft. 4.785 final drive counter shaft, ITR 1st-4th ratios and LS 5th gear. Installed new bearings on counter shaft.
6. Assembled mainshaft and new bearings for it
7. Laid everything out and stuck it together so I could drop the main, counter, and shift forks in the case.
8. Install selector, reverse selector, sealed case.
9. Installed detent balls and reverse bolt
10. Made sure all the gears went in like they should then came home.

Parts:

Freshly cleaned JDM ITR case (whooptie doo, just like every other case...)
ITR 1-4
LS 5th
4.785 final drive
ITR Helical LSD

Figure it should be fun. I should have it bolted to my engine by the end of Saturday and it should be in the car and running on Sunday if I don't run into any snags.
