makin a hydro ls to b16

how much would it cost to buy all new b16 gears for my ls tranny it runs and shift fine but im wanting shorter gears.or should i just go buy a b16 tranny?

if you get a turbo i would stay with the gears you have, an increase in torque prefers longer gears not only that it will help the turbo spool and decrease the tendency for wheel spin. if you really want shorter gears you should be able to purchase a b16 tranny or any b motor tranny with shorter gears of the propper year and it should bolt right in. i could be wrong though b motors arent my strong point...

edit: forgot to comment on cost, buying just gears will be pricey it would be cheaper to buy a tranny as a whole and swap it in.

b16 trannys dont like trq. to much..

went to autozone today its about 429 +tax for the gears and syncros about the same price just to buy a b16 tranny though but this would be new though
