hf w/ z6 vacuum line questions

Post by 91beatuphatch »

okay noticed my car has a missing vac line and unsure where it goes. its a 90 crx hf with z6 swap. the purge solenoid is missing the top vac hose normaly going to the canister. but i have no canister. the solenoid is sucking vacuum. also missing the top line to the tb, also supposed to go to the canister. ive read mixed reviews on needing or not needing the canister. also moving idle adjustment screw doesnt adjust the idle... is this caused by missing hoses?

try plugging all the vacuum leaks, all you really need hooked up, as far as vacuum lines go is the fuel pressure regulator, map sensor and brake booster. all the other hoses or ports can be sealed, especially if your missing the canister.

Are you adjusting it with the IACV unplugged at operating temperature?

search around rob has posted the correct way for adjusting idle many times. you do need to get your vacuum lines in order first though and make sure there isnt any leaks.
