b18a1 timing
I replaced my distributor and engine wiring harness hoping that would be the last of my problems but Im almost certain my timing is off. I took off the top of the timing cover earlier to looked at my cam gears. where it says "UP" isnt really pointed up, its more diagonal than anything. I cant really see the crank and Im not sure what kind of markings are on it. How should I go about fixing this?

on the crank pulley there should be 3 marks together and then one mark by itself. there is a line on the timing cover you line up with the single mark, when those are aligned the marks on the cam gears should lined up and the up arrows should point up obviously if not its out of time
i may not be "logical" but at least i can change my oil...

Just get the number one cyl in top dead center on fire stroke and then get the marks on the timing gears lined up and pop ur belt on.
