b18b turbo swap help!

When i mash the throttle, the tach jumps a little and i don't build boost, shift to second and mash throttle and the car just dies? any ideas? hesatant in first gear on the throttle. i'm running a chipped p75 ecu, no idle problems just that. Oil pressure sensor isn't hooked up and coolant fan switch isn't hooked up. Would that cause the car to do that?

oil pressure is pretty important. might want to hook that up

its got good oil pressure, i've got an aftermarket gauge hooked up

Does the fan run?

If the switch isn't hooked up, there won't be a way to tell the fan to turn on.

What is the car tuned on / who tuned it?

its run off the ignition switch so it turns on when the key is on. it's tuned on neptune by a guy in albuquerque, nm since that's close to where i live. lol Its chipped for my set up and was in a running car before i got it.

it is chipped for your setup?

So has it ever been really tuned on your car?

Do you have a wideband o2 gauge?

easiest way to maybe figure some stuff out would be to have the neptune guy datalog everything...especially the problem. Then see if you can find any clues in the log.

hook up the oil pressure sensor, it's surprising its running at all without it.

i had a turbo'd b16 swapped crx without the oil pressure sensor hooked up and it ran fine. Found the problem, the chip in the ecu had a missing pin, car was throwing a code 14 for bad ecm. the ecu is sockected, but its with a regular socket not a zif socket. that's probably where it messed up?

Its essentially an idiot light. The plug he is talking about does not run to the ECU, therefor the ECU has no idea if the engine has oil pressure. If the wire isnt hooked up, the oil light on the dash should be on.

He said he has a aftermarket gauge, so it doesn't really require the stock oil idiot light to be hooked up.

As for boggin and no building boost, I can offer much help. Maybe check mechanical timing as well as distributor timing?
