Nissan Altima Exhuast rattle :(

heres a picture of it.


My questions is is that ring at the end (that looks separated) has rusted through the welds, and im wondering if its needed and i can just cut it off or ninja rig it so it stops rattling? or does the whole piece need to be replaced?

its an '01 altima, over 100k miles and same exhuast. let me know if u need more details. thanks.

Cut the ring off. Almost every older nissan with a rattle is always the problem. Its just the ring on the end of the flexpipe. You can cut it off and you will be fine.

I cut that ring of my sisters ford, didnt harm it at all.
