Cam install?

Ok so i got my cam today (stage 2 crowler) me and my buddy plan on installing it along with my new crank underdrive pully and i'll probably do a new timming belt will im at it. Is there anything extra needed for the cam swap besides springs and retainers? Do i have to buy a new cam gear or can i use my stocky? I just want to be prepared for this so my car isnt sitting forever thanks for any info.

its crower not crowler lol. underdrive pulleys are a bad idea. the stock one is balanced for a reason. i believe springs and retainers are all you need to support that cam

While the springs are off, it's never a bad idea to put new valve stem seals on. If Crower says the cam can go in straight up, you can run the stock gear. If they say you need an adjustable cam gear, that means you need to degree it; not just put a gear on and put it where it looks cool. Check what they say to do and follow it to a T. They are the manufacturer and know more than we do about their cams.

Will do.... thanks guys my buddy is a mechanic so he knows what hes doing unlike me lol! But im going to watch and learn (beer bitch, run and get food) will hes doing it. Just wanted to make sure i have evereything ahead of time thanks guys
