Just bought a prelude.

Post by MaSSaCrE »

Alright well after all talk about buying the civic i found a prelude...The guy said the motor just stopped running all sudden on the highway and there were no odd sounds or anything.Said the timing belt is fine and head is pretty much all redone with new stuff.

Its cranks over but slowly he said i dont know yet because i havnt got it towed to my house yet.He said lots of people said that it was the fuel pump possibly but he didnt care he had a 300zx and a chevelle in his driveway and he was done with it. Has 138k miles.

any help on what it may be would be great..

Well he is only 15...so he's got time to get it running before he can legally drive it I guess. :dunno:

Yes I have pictures though. The lude was just in my eye as a shell but he said the motor still cranks slowly just doesnt start. Its 92 white with Bronze rims w\chrome lip its lowered on kyb or kyg w\e they are struts and skunk2 springs. Its an automatic but I will do the swap to manual when i get the pieces.Stock header and the exhaust he said wasnt really anything so i didnt worry about asking. It has cold air intake which i think ill buy aem or injen one to start off right when it gets here..The car is suppose to be towed to me tuesday afternoon.

While looking idk where the other pictures are so ill get more when its in my driveway.

If it already has one why buy another? IMO any intake tube is as good as another (of the same diameter) you are just buying the name. Just throw on a good/clean filter and call it a day.

yeah just id rather do it all how I want.I was just gonna do the normal bolt ons and call it a day.One rim has small scratch and stuff so ima fix that up,Exhaust im still clueless on because nothing sounds great on the youtube videos,Header will prob be a greddy or dc sports unless i go cheap and do megan racing or obx since im not worried about it.
