A dynamometer measures this torque. You can easily convert torque to horsepower by multiplying torque by rpm/5,252.

That was from this site
http://www.howstuffworks.com/horsepower1.htm

I didnt know thats how it worked. I tested it with my dyno sheet and it was pretty dead on.

I know you are joking, but I wish it was like that. Dyno A won't read the same as dyno b or dyno c. Least that is my understanding.

trap speeds tell all.

They diagnosed my injectors dumping loads of fuel into my cylinders as me having the wrong spark plugs.... and this was over the phone.

exactly .. your HP figure on the dyno does not tell you how fast your car is

Ok yea u got a dyno sheet to get the torque readout from,........................ but can't u just look up an inch and see wat the HP is????? lol wat u need the conversion for if ur gettin it dyno'd. But not tryin to defend adrenaline at all, but i got mine dyno'd there before i heard these rumors, no tune just wanted a baseline. Figured they couldn't screw it up, strap it down, shift to 3rd and PUNCH it so figured if i could do it, there so called PROFESSIONALS could handle it w/o my car hitting the wall. 120whp not bad for just SRI upgrade.
