Well hell....
Well,as some of you know,I had a family emergency this past week. This situation caused me to do things,I normally would never do. Which leads me to this. If you had a b16a2 vtec, and you got it so hot, that it melted the plugs wires( I know,i know),how would you rebuild this motor? Where should a guy start, and all ball park figure on the cost. I drove this car without the temp gauge installed. Sometimes desperation leads to idiotic thinking.

Melted the plug wires? Pics of this said occurance. Does it run at all? Crank over? Possibly figure out moreso whats wrong with it instead of just saying rebuild it.JurScrx;104917 wrote:Well,as some of you know,I had a family emergency this past week. Wow. Honestly, I would put new plug wires on it and try to start it. See what happens. But what made it get that hot?? Did you forget to put the cooling fan back on too? lol

I tried the new wires, but used the old plugs, but newer wires, get'n spark. I'm getting compression on 1 and 4,the other 2 i got to dig out so i can check it. It does crank, and the fuel pump is on. It is throwing a code 15,but the codes come and go. Usually they are 15,or 16..but they vary. The starter doesn't sound right. Hard to explain.
