o2 and fuel filter

Post by J8k'S CRX »

what happens when your fuel filter is going bad or has gone bad what does it do to your car.

also waht happens when your o2 is going bad or has gone bad.

the reason i ask is becuse my car is i guess you would say is missing (what i think it is doing (missing) realy bad once it worms up. it cuts in and out all trough the rpm's. in and out in and out, sometimes constent and some times just a putter then runs fine then a few seconds then it starts back up. the only thing i can think is o2 and or fuel filter. any suggestions and or comments would be great. thanks in advance.

o2 your car will die when you disengage the clutch at say stop lights and your fuel millage will suck balls. Id say if anything its fuel related...Replace the filter, do a injector cleaning or just run some 93 octane in there and rev it a bit..

first though (me and my freind) but we just swapped the cap and rotor few months back (after i litteraly distryed the rotor) so were going to check the fuel first then electric.

now do i get a filter for the car of the motor? my guess is the car but coulld be wrong never know.

ummmm, this will achieve nothing, i assume that you are trying to imply that 93 will clean up his fuel system or something along those lines? the only difference between 87 and 93 is the heat at which it ignites, i think its called "flame propagation(????)" or something like that.

Go to Orillies, pick up a bottle of the Lucas Oil complete fuel system treatment. The stuff is amazing. See what that does.

it could be many things, start with the cheap stuff, fuel filter, plugs, wires, cap, rotor. there is so many things that it could be, possibly even your ecu.
