Wiring tuck suggestions... :D

Post by 99BlackHatch »

Since I've been tearing the motor apart and alot of the the engine bay out, I've been doing research on wire tucking. I found a few ideas, for those that are interested, can possibly use on their cars as well...

Radiator coolant fittings...
Fittings

Fittings on the thermostat...

Finished product as you can see at the radiator itself...

Vaccum fittings...
Vaccum fitting front...

Vaccum fitting backside...

Battery relocation...
Front bumper relocation...

Side view...

A little cut and fab...

Support strap / finished idea...

I'll add more as I progress in my readings / findings...

Discuss and Enjoy. :tusk:

how low to the ground would the battery be?

You don't know what you're talking about. You're not very smart, and the things you're saying are nonsense. And I'm not angry. But you do need to shut up.

I have toyed with the battery relocation but using one of the small dry cell batteries instead.

I don't know, but I saw it and I thought... different, but 5 seconds later I thought... futuristic problems.

Kind of hard to have that there too if you plan to run boost.

Intercooler piping > battery relocation

not reall that problematic per say... if you do that relocation, you have to assume you will be mounting a second set of psts somewhere accessable, that way should you need to jump the car, you can.
like i said, i want to do it with a small 'race' battery on the pass. side, but i need to work out fitting a filter in there too, i dont see how you would have a problem running IC piping right next to a race battery in there tho... and I would just run wires up to a set of remote mounted battery posts in the engine bay and connect everything to the remote posts instead of the actual battery, that way even disconnecting everything wouldn't be any harder than having a stock battery in there

Correct Steven. The good thing about the remote posts is that you can pretty much mount them anywhere. Under the hood for easy access would be best, fo some reason I was in the mind set of the front bumper... lol. Don't know why.

you could put a set in the bumper (that dark maroon/crimson AM7 eg hatch has them mounted in the fog cutout :dunno:) thats just wouldn't be my personal style for a DD

Vaccum fittings part you posted was a one-off part. Whoever made it on HT is also a machinist and did it at his work. I was also thinking about doing it and asked around on HT.

Also instead of mounting your battery in the front of your car, you could mount it in behind the rear bumper like hella-JDM did.
