Hypothetically, what if I hit my rev limiter tonight... first time was on the highway going like 110 at 7000rpms in 4th
and the second time was around the same rpms in first... but vtec kicked in, so its not just the end of the low rpm fuel map...
I know the tach was dead on 7000rpms in 4th on the highway, so wtf? I thought the tachs had the habit of reading too HIGH when you revved, not too low! any ideas?

mine does the same thing on the b16 crx fuel cut hits at around 7000-7200 according to the tach...

I've taken it all the way to 8 several times tho, granted not in 4th, it's never cut early on me when the motor was warm.
