for me to find a new muffler/axle-back exhaust I would want without paying an arm and a leg? I'm looking for ideas here, people.

Ideas that suck:
- 4 inch tips
- 'n1 style'
- straight-thru design

So far, here's what doesn't suck:
THESE ARE EXAMPLES OF WHAT STYLE I WANT

I'm looking for a muffler here, people, not a megaphone of douchebaggery. I think my mouth does a good enough job on it's own.

Thermal. mine is shaped like the 2nd pic. deep, quiet, zero raspiness. i've had it for 5 years and love it.

CRX silencer looks bigger than the one for Civic hatchback. Also, where are they for sale axle-back only? Thermal was on the short list until these two points came up.

No, maybe you don't understand. I was asking if I was missing any options here that fit my criteria. I would prefer not to drop a lot of money on it, but why spend less on something that does not meet the requirements I set down in the original post? 4 inch megaphone tip = me not interested. Moving on...

A buddy of mine gary(no dig) had a vibrant muffler on his car and it sounded good nothing like 4 inch tips. No n1 stlye. I don't know the exact muffler but its a vibrant and htp(hi-tuned performance) carries them.
