Converting to OBD-1

Post by JustRob »

Well, I'm going to do a full Z6 swap or do a B7 block/Z6 head swap in the CRX, and I need to know what all I need to convert it. Mike suggested rywire.com's kit for $190. I also found an ECU Jumper from jhpusa.com for $99. Which would be better? Is there anything else I need? Are there advantages and/or disadvantages to OBD-1? How hard is the conversion? TIA

Converting to OBD-1

one of the biggest ADVANTAGES would be the wide range of tuning software available for obd1 cars, obd0 has very limited resources for tuning. also, the diagnostics would be nice for you too.

disadvantage- all of those extra wires = extra weight
