my friend eldin just bought gary's(a.k.a. no dig) 92 white hatch...
now i was talking to him today...which would be better!! its a daily driver
and he has a 580 hp srt4...so take both into effect

which one would you recommend for daily driving and a little street fun

its a ls/non-vtec

b16 head
exhaust
thats it!!

or

small turbo
have to deal with tuning..
and then spend quite a bit more money when you already have the srt..?

i told him the b16 head and exhaust would be more then enough for a hatch with a b18 bottem end and b16 head...? what do you guys think?

for daily driving you really want more torque, low end, and midrange... I vote small turbo.

well see I like my B16 NA but now I am going turbo lol. So I would say turbo it.

ok... I get it, you want everyone to agree with you that an LS/Vtec would be the better option. I'm not going to do that. Like I stated a SMALL turbo will produce much more useable power for daily driving than 'slapping' a vtec head on. A B16 head on an LS block yeilds a 9.6:1 compression ratio which would make for a piss poor N/A car IMO. and in all honesty, if you readup on ls/vtec swaps they do a great job of nickle-and-diming you to death if you want to build them right: http://hondaswap.com/general-tech-artic ... ec-info-8/

that is what i was looking for!! your the man...we are just trying to figure this out for money and everything...dependability least amount of maitnence when completed etc..

well he just doesn't want to mess with the tuning and everything on a daily driver when he has to do it with the srt4 like once every 2 months or so....and once its complete he wont really have to mess with it much more if he goes the n/a route...
