1. forgot to take out cable from speedometer to tranny when swapping clutch and i think it stretched or may have broken when i lowered the tranny out of the car.
2. my question is what would it take to fix this problem, my speedo reads zero always now, and also is the cable most likely broken or stretched?
any help would be much appreciated
i know im a noob for not unhooking it in the first place, first clutch job on my first crx, you have to learn somehow...dont flame me please. :violent-smiley-026:

speedo cable question
Well I dono how it is on your car, but in my Duster you basically just take it out of tranny, but to get it out of your dash your proably guna have to pull the dash or the steering column or if you can, tilt the cluster down so you can see where the cable goes in at. Then replace it.
I'd start by looking under your dash to see if you can see it, it should be the biggest cable coming out of your firewall. See what your guna need to do to take that out, do the same down at the tranny.

You should be able to get a new one put it in. Just remove the gauge cluster and you can reach back in the dash. Im assuming the part that came out looked like a small metal coil spring with a teeth on both ends. Usually you can just feed it back in and then plug it back in the cluster unless it got streched out.

not to partial threadjack or anything, but spedo cables are pretty cheap. I just bought one for my 88 prelude today and the top part was only $32 (as AndyJT said, its in 2 pieces).
