im not sure if i need a new left rear brake caliper (driver side) or a rebuild kit.
basically when i release my e-brake my rear caliper sticks a little bit and drags. the passenger side releases just fine with no problems. could it be possible that the return spring is worn out?
any help is greatly appreciated.

rear brake caliper problem!!!
forgot to mention its on my civic. the rear caliper piston and e-brake are one in the same.
i think what you were refering to is a drum in hat, where the e-brake is designed like a drum brake with a seperate caliper for the normal braking on the disc portion.
