which d16 is the best?

if i wanted vtec for an 89 crx that would be my best bet right?
would a civic ex engine bolt right in?
p.s. i heard vtec is the only way to make a honda fast

Yes, it bolts in with the driver's side motor mount bracket from your CRX. There is some wiring involved depending on what model CRX you have.

P.S. Hondas aren't fast.
