Mugen and J's paint codes?

First i have a few questions about powdercoating. Im new to this, so bare with me. Do you have to bring in some kind of paint code to get something powder coated. I was thinking of just getting my valve cover painted, but then my friend said to get it powdercoated. I want either the mugen gold/bronze or the J's racing blue. Also how much does that run for?
