Wanted to see what you guys thoguht of this... V8 "LS2000"

figured id see what you all thought of this. some might call it treason, some might like it. i respect anything fast, and this things pretty cool. there was a build thread over on my usual website if anyone wants me to go get it. theres actually been a few guys doing this, one was the friend of the guy with the "civette" which was a hatch with a complete corvette drivetrain. well his friend is building a twin turbo LS2 in his s2000, but going through a divorce so thats on hold.

anyways, the build is basically mustang 8.8 rear and an all stock LS2 (6.0L V8). in the vid it says he runs 7.7 in the 1/8 which is high 11s in the 1/4, according to lethal1320's calculator.

heres him on the dyno, like i said stock motor, makes 358rwhp off the bottle. LS2's usually run pig rich on the stock tune so he touched it up a little, still more left in it.

meh, he coulda made more power and gone faster if he woulda just boosted the s2k, but pretty sweet none the less

depends on how much you think he was spending. because he went for the LS2, which is an all aluminum motor, it cost a little more but you can get the iron 6.0L from trucks, which essentially the same, for dirt cheap. a shortblock for $500 is common, but ive seen complete motors, from harness to oil pan go for under 1000. plus, there is soo much left in this motor. the new L92 heads coming from the new 6.2L trucks are proving a huuuge gain. flowing numbers stock that would put some big block heads to shame.

ha, just making sure people know we all arent bad. we have many many people that are on the forums without even owning an lsx powered car. a former admin who stepped down has a KB cobra, a few have hemi's etc. right now we have some punk claiming he killed a modded mach 1 with his stock ls1 and plenty of people, ls1 owners included, are calling BS on this kid. unless the driver mod is absent, the mach shoulda had it.

Do you own LS1tech....or is the Honda community supposed to be totally ignorant that a site like that exists?
