A Lotus Elise (may get one of these for my 50th B-Day) and what this guy does so well is finding & making seams while other drivers may be too preoccupied worrying about other threat cars
He never lets himself stay in anyone's mirrors too long, improving the chances of him being able to exploit gaps

Whelp, in racing, versus a DE/track day setting ... their not too concerned about that ... if you're financially and mentally prepared for banging up your car, you stick your nose in and bet on the other guy flinching/backing down ... some do and some dont'ObsesionWitSped;85952 wrote:Wow..the skills it takes not to hit another car in those kinds of situations.
My racing days are long behind me ... outdoor MotoX "back in the day" b4 "extreme sports" and Stadium SuperCross were invented
These days, I'm all in favor of bringing my car back from the track in the same shape as when I drove there
In DE/track day settings, that type of close proximity/intimidation stuff gets you "black flagged" off the track

Mental note made! I may come knockin' in a couple of years. I think they're the only game in town as a Lotus dealership ... do you know if that's correct?bildo16;85959 wrote:very cool video, a friend of an ex-girlfriends sister is the manager at the lotus dealership in mid rivers. .

im pretty sure they are, could be mistaken, when i say they are like go-carts, i mean it, stiff suspension, torque where needed, they are almost perfect.GTI-Guy;85960 wrote:Mental note made! Got it, yep, and instructor ex-racer friend took me out in his on Gateway's road course ... never felt cornering forces like that b4, and with that mid engine set up, the rear really rotates so nicely under power ... felt like the faster he went, the more the nose tightened into the turn!bildo16;85961 wrote:im pretty sure they are, could be mistaken, when i say they are like go-carts, i mean it, stiff suspension, torque where needed, they are almost perfect.
