its probably in california... I've heard of them doing that kinda shit if they catch you racing around in a non smog legal car

I heard two different stories. The first was as you said, street racing. The other said that the owner stole a few cars, put parts from these cars on his own, was caught, prosecuted in court, and the judge ordered the car to be crushed.

hahahah well, that'd do it too...

I was talking in more broad terms, I have heard of California doing this type of thing on 'illegal' cars that they catch racing. I guess they want to prove a point.
