3rd gen no crank over....

Post by HondaChild »

OKay my friend did a auto to manual swap in his accord and but it wont start. not even attempt to turn over. he went and bought a new starter, and the starter is getting power. But we are lost and have no idea of what it could be. Any and all input is appreaciaited. Thanks.

you gotta jump the wires that went to the shifter... IIRC it is two big black wires that need to be jumped.
I know I talked you about this before, and it would have been in any writeups you read about the swap. only two things need wiring: jumping these wires, and the reverse lights
sorry, I was tied up with family all day or i would have answered your call, I didnt get yoru message until late.

could be a lot of things...
clutch cable connected to pedal assembly and transmission?
does it move the actuator arm when the pedal is pushed?
cable adjusted properly?
throwout bearing installed?

WE got it figured out the clutch cable was too taught and wasn't allowing it to engage.
