98-02 Immobilizer replacement

Hey guys, it's been a minute... My buddy's car got broken into last night down in the hood, they came with all the tools but a flat bed trying to get it. The immobilizer ring and wiper switch in his 99 accord look like a crazed chimp jumped in there and destroyed it. I legally hotwire these cars every day at my job, but never the reverse... am I going to have any surprises with the immobilizer if I just plug a new ring in and turn the key? I don't forsee any problems, but just seeing if I should expect something. Thanks,
