driver side seat rail on passanger side seat???

Yeah I'm wondering if on oem seats if I can mount the driver side seat rail to an passanger side seat. Same year same style of seat. Just wondering if it will work. I understand that the adjustment controls will be on the wrong side, I'm not worried about that. Any help us much appreciated, thanks!
