So, I'm driving along the race track, and come upon a Lime Green Wagon ... Video

Just cruising along the racetrack and ahead of me is a lime green, woody paneled, Impala Wagon

I can hardly keep up with the thing!

It's an old Impala Wagon, it was built to do an upcoming 24 Hours of Lemons event, and has the Impala cop car motor and suspension ... interior is gutted, has full roll cage ... it's ready for the track and this was it's shakedown run

Something dang interesting about its driver ... he's an older guy, totally young at heart, looks like Steve McQueen ... the guy was a test driver for the Chapperal team in the 60's / 70's! Remember the giant winged cars, and the "sucker car?" He drove 'em!

The ONLY reason I came up on him so fast, and that we waved me by on the Nascar part of the track was because he's experimenting with some gearing changes, so for now has no top speed ... can hit 90ish maybe

Just like in "Blues Brothers" ... cop motor, cop suspension. Yep their handling capabilities are quite deceptive when you add the cop suspension
