My 98 Ex Coupe..

I picked this car up at the end of January from spoonfedcivic(Joe) as a shell. He bought it with a Y8 in it but the tranny was bad. He pulled the motor and sold it, then i picked up the shell. I had a full Ls-Vtec swap sitting in his garage that i pulled out of my eg sedan so we went ahead and threw it in there. And he wanted to keep the factory steelies/hubcaps so i threw my Honda Fit Sport Wheels on it.

The previous owner had sideswiped something, i was told it was a guard rail but idk...

I took a few pics of the engine bay while we were swapping it, it was pretty nasty




Interior was trashed. It was filled with a bunch of junk from the previous owner(Burger king wrappers, sunflower seeds, paper, and a bunch of other trash) And the Climate Control was broken in a couple places.

I started by completely detailing the car because it needed it badly. Then i bought a new climate control, door panel(old one was broke), and some other misc interior parts.

Then I painted the badgeless grille to match

Next was cleaning up the Engine Bay. I bought a B16 Valve Cover that was in really poor shape. I stripped it, cleaned it, sanded it, then shot it with VHT Wrinkle Red paint. Then i took an OEM Strut bar i had and repainted it satin black and picked up a factory airbox from one of my buddies. Finally I put it all together and took some Purple Power to the engine bay to get it clean. I was kind of going for the complete OEM look with the bay....i still have everything to hook up my PS/AC but havent got around to installing it.






The Drivetrain setup is- B18B1 Block, B16A3 Head, GSR Cams, GSR Tranny, DC 4-2-1 Header, Ebay Catback exhaust. It has a chipped P72 and was dyno tuned on Chrome by Chuong at Revline in Kansas City. It put down 147whp on the dyno.



Then I took some Testors Model Paint and got rid of the orange on the tail lights.



Since it needed the door and fender i picked up a parts car from a buddy. Mine had some bad bodywork on the drivers door, a small crease on the front bumper, and some dents in the hood so i went ahead and replaced all the panels. And right after that I installed some Eibach Sportline Springs.



Thats how it sits for the moment. Now im at a point where im not sure what i want to do with it. Im going to repaint the whole car and i have half a gallon of milano red but i just really hate the color. I have a full gallon of silver....or my other choice is white.

Its coming along. Ive taken the last couple weeks off from messing with it. The car has been my daily since January so in order to paint it im gonna need another driver. Im probably gonna pick up a cheap d series for my sedan shell so i can tear this one apart

Thanks guys. I also forgot to add that the drivers door handle was broke so i just got my Ek sedan rear door handles in the wednesday and installed them thursday, no more ugly lock cylinders
