k first off these are crappy pictures from my dying point and shoot, they are to show the work being done/did on the car nothing artsy, and the bumper is not fully attached in the pictures.

i just finished swapping bumpers and fog lights for andy and as usual for andys car things go amiss like normal. What started as a simple bumper and fog light swap has turned into 4 day of pain in the ass for me lol.

Basically the bumper is awesome steph/tom (one of the two) did some awesome shaving work and super nice paint work on this expensive ass EKDM bumper for andy. and then andy brought me the car and bumper to swap bumpers and mount the fogs using what should have been OEM supplied brackets.

Well the oem brackets were rusted to broken ass fog lights and i was unable to successfully separate the two from each other with out cutting them apart and making the fog light mounts useless. So i was able to get the outer brackets apart from the fog lights and then i had to fab new mounting tabs on the fogs to get them to mount to the outer brackets which mount to the bumper.

here are a few pics of the simple bracket tabs i mad to fix the mounting issues , basically what i did was take back strap and speed clips to make new mounting tabs and drilled a cpl new holes to move the fog lights to where they needed to line up with the bumper.

one on the left is not painted and the silver is the tabs i added

i had to grind off the fins on the back of the fogs for clearance issues, the oem fogs that were originally in the brackets did not have the fins on them

okay now fast fwd 3 hrs (i forgot to take pictures of them mounted)
and the fogs are now mounted and the bumper is 1/2 half on and the hids have been installed into the fogs and wired up

Where did the HID fog bulbs come from? Assuming they are still H3's......are they the short Capsules or standard length? If they are the standard length did you modify the inside of the fogs?

I think it looks good. So are you gonna drive around with the plate on the dash, or put a plate relocator down below?

The hids are McCulloch brand standard h3 bulbs and are standard length, i really did not have to modify much, i had to cut the hid plugs off the bulbs so i could feed the wires through the fog light housing, then i had remove a rubber grommet off the hids and modify it to press onto the bottom of the bulb to keep it in place ones the fog light was reassembled. the inside of the fog actually has notches that line up with the h3 bulb.

Honestly there really is no way to add a clip like the factory bulb so its more pressure fit then anything but they don't move around once reassembled.

Looking good. That bumper was a pain in the butt to sand down and paint since the people before didn't even take the lip off to paint it, and didnt even sand down the primer before base.

Here are a few pics after I painted it
