pros: quicker acceleration from less rotating mass
con: a little tricky to drive at first. takes some getting used to when taking off. will somewhat shorten clutch life. makes the car more responsive to throttle on and off.
recommendation: get a steel fly wheel that is a 'street' version. if you have to get an aluminum one, at least make sure the mounting holes have steel inserts. I bought a car that had a cheap aluminum flywheel and the holes galled out allowing the flywheel/clutch to disconnect entirely.
stock flywheel is 22lbs iirc on the teg, a 12lb flywheel will make a noticeable difference. and a 8lb will really change the character of your car, but is too light for everyday driving in my OPINION.
fwiw, i had a 8lb in my CRX years ago and it was really fun, but I didn't drive it everyday and we don't have traffic down here.

hey, i got a fidanza flywheel in my daily. it weighs i think 7.6Lbs. i love it. its tough to get used to at first but its not all that bad. i got an act 6 puck clutch with that fidanza flywheel and its a great setup. there is a huge difference with that setup. IMO its worth the money. it turned my car into a completely different animal.

I use a aluminum flywheel in my DD with an OE spec clutch. I love it. It makes rev matching between gears alot easier.
