my attempt at saving gas/ riding bike everywhere

Post by jdmjerry07 »

So i bought this nice trek yestarday, and have been riding it to work/ anyother places between 70 and 40 on can with in a 10 mile radius i guess of my house. I figured if i kept this up i can save over 150 dollars a month on gas, and i can get in better shape and enjoy nature all at once! Heres a pic of my sweet new ride... So if you see me honk and dont run me over plz

I've thought about doing the same thing, then realized that spending 400 on the bike would mean less money towards my bone stock car. lol.

You don't know what you're talking about. You're not very smart, and the things you're saying are nonsense. And I'm not angry. But you do need to shut up.

Just by a BMX bike, for about $250 you can get a pretty sweet bike and not look like a tool.

I live way to far away from work for a bike, and if I even tried I would get jacked on my way in.

in replies to all of the above...

no i dont really worry about gas prices, but i do not like paying for them, like i said i live close enough to ride my bike, and its a good excersie and only takes me 10 mins more.

about the bmx bike... yes its cheaper to buy a bmx bike but the ride there would take way more effort on that then a lightwieght 24 speed bike.

about it getting hot durring summer... two things.. my civ has no ac and i would be suffering either way, but i dont see it as suffering i enjoy hot weather it doesnt bother me at all, plain and simple.
