My 89 CRX HF that I swapped a D16Z6 in was in the high 14's. Just a CAI and stock exhaust manifold and downpipe without any piping after. It's been down for a few years now and I miss it.

That car ran good, I remember when ya first brought it out and ya raced J.t.

D-series are alot more fun to play with I think, I like my B-series but really do wanna pull it for another D-series but at the moment it's the only car I got.

I know what you mean. There is just something about a good D-series that gives me a feeling, in my pants.

It's been sitting in a hole rusting away. I plan on fixing it soon, but will probably sell it.

well if i were to build a na d series, i would take a 1.6 block and an jdm obd1 head, the 1.6l block would be filled with a d17 crank rods and pistons. the crank case would need to be shaved down for the 1.7 rods to clear it on the stroke. But i have seen on push around 170 hp to the wheels. I have seen one beat a b16a by .16 seconds on the quarter. the tranny had a welded diff as well on the super d series. but for the money spent i wouldnt go d route. but i guess it would be cool to pull up to a race with a d motor and challeng a b series to race. haha

Agreed. I used to use "d" because it's all I had, but then I went to "B" and haven't gone back unless it came in the newer car.

There is something about a motor from the factory that can rev to 8,200-9,000 rpms safely and stock.
I'm still a neighborhood ASSHOLE!

designed that way because it has no torque?
