Wisdom Teeth

Post by Waffles »

So I am 25 and my wisdom teeth are finally coming in. I got it checked out today and the dentist said the teeth would come in strait and fine. The doc gave me the option to have them cut out, or deal with the pain. So far normal pain killers has helped, but I have a feeling its going to get worse. Any one been through this? Should I just have them cut out?

get them removed.. because putting it off now.. is gonna make it worse later on down the road

One is almost all the way in now, the rest are coming in fine. I am not at any risk if I keep them. All it would be is a long dull pain.

My girlfriend opted to have hers removed. It was a good choice. I don't even have them lol. I was x-rayed last time and she said "lucky you, there are not even roots for them in there." That was a good visit.

I had two of them removed a couple years back. Neither had to be cut out, and it wasn't a big deal at all. I didn't even take pain killers and I was back at school the next day. Last Monday, I had one removed and another had to be cut out, since it was impacted. Neither were too big of a deal, but I didn't go to work at all last week. I only had one instance that I needed a pain pill, and now that the stiches have fallen out, I can't hardly tell that I even had anything done. Just make sure you take care of yourself and follow your oral surgeon's instructions carefully, and you'll be fine in a week or less.

the less pain meds you take, the more you have for later.

at least for me they came in handy when I fucked up my back this summer and needed to take them.
