I'd like to encourage your participation in this ... the SCCA is going into the DE market and has plans, on a national level, to use this as a means to pull "new blood" into their organization and motorsports in general
See below for the official announcement ... holler to me if interested in this program

Have What It Takes To Be An SCCA PDX "Precision Driving Xperience" Instructor?
Our PDX instructor training program isn't for everyone. It is a challenging, multi-modal program that includes classroom and self-study curriculum, written and verbal exams, video "you make the call" exercises, on-track Instructor / Student "role plays" and skills proficiency assessments. To our knowledge, this program will be the most comprehensive training of its type. It won't be for everyone, but if you have the desire, commitment, communication and car control skills it takes, then let's talk.
Your commitment will require study time to complete written pre-tests, attend a one day classroom-only session on March 5th or 19th, and participate in three, one-day track sessions consisting of role-plays, car control skills assessment and classroom time. These track day sessions will be held on Wednesday's in March / April, exact dates and times to be announced. There is no charge for the classroom sessions. Candidates will be required to pay track time fees for the Wednesday events, although this will be a discounted rate TBD.
Those successfully completing all phases of the program will earn a PDX Instructor Hat, Course Certificate, and the right to instruct at upcoming SCCA PDX track day events, with no charge for personal track time. Your greatest reward will be when your Student shakes your hand and says "thanks." If you're a DE/HPDE Instructor certified by another organization, then the track portion of the program can be waived, but you would need to pass the pre-tests and attend the March 5 or 19 classroom session. If interested, contact Bob Mondschein, bob.mondschein@gmail.com.

Are you an instructor?
side note- You need to come out to an event. I know it's crap weather right now, but come be active. I know you have a family so I won't give you to hard a time.

Gheez, yes I omitted that important piece of info ... the track stuff takes place at Gateway here in StL ... the classroom takes place at "Spazzio's" which is a restaurant/bar in a hotel near Westport Plazagetteg;88440 wrote:Maybe I missed it but where is all this taking place. I agree, but honestly, when I peek into some of the GTG threads, things seem a bit hard to decipher as to finalization of time & place ... maybe I'm a 'tard though?Nat X STL;88508 wrote: side note- You need to come out to an event.
