Fire Aftermath

I have pics of the aftermath of the fire but photobucket is being dumb, so they will be up later. Edit: they are up now, scroll down for them.

First I want to say thank you to everyone that was there. I don't know what I would have done without you guys. Shawn and my family wanted me to give you all a big thank you also. He's doing fine. Just really upset. Thank god no one was injured and the house wasn't damaged too bad.

So, here's the story for those of you who weren't there. Just wanted to get it out before things get blown out of proportion as things normally do on here.

Last night while everyone was inside my parents house, firefighters believe a firework landed in our trashcan or on the cover of my brother, Shawn's 2004 z06 corvette. Luckily my neighbor was driving up the street and saw it and ran into our house and made sure everybody got out. My other neighrbor heard the car alarm going off on my brother's dd, the s10, and looked out the window and saw the fire and called 911. By the time we got outside, the z06 was completely engulfed in flames and we moved dad's 34 coupe and other cars out of the way. Firefighters put everything out and again thank god, it didn't burn down the house and no one was hurt.

Shawn's z06 is gone from the doors back. Luckily, it didn't get the gas tank or things could have gotten alot worse. His dd, the s10 is undrivable because the front of it caught fire and melted. The garage wall will need to be replaced and the trashcan that was in between the vette and the s10 is just a green puddle. Also, my dad's parking lights on his truck melted and the neighbors siding bubbled.

We don't know, they were going off all over the place. We shot a couple off but it was hours before this happened. All I do know is that if we find out who did this I will hurt them.

I'm just a little protective of my little brother and seeing him this upset hurts me really bad.

yea this was a bad deal all around, im glad that someone found it before the fire got out of control and spread to both houses and no one got hurt

that sucks!!!!! hopefully insurance takes care of everything
fwiw, ive had a sonoma randomly burst into flames while it was parked, not running, before
might not have been fireworks
