but i think the blues will be sellers once again...even though there was 2 week goals last night that the blues really couldnt do a whole lot about. They played strong and boyes got his 30th which is something the blues need out of a player. not to mention we didnt really trade a whole lot for him! Dennis Wideman...lol hes got a toe drag thats about it!....but i hope we get marleau...or better yet give up everyone over 25 for crosbymy fav. lol
I'm not sure if you've looked at stats or not, but Marleau is having a horrible season, he's not a good leader, and sucks in the playoffs. These are facts, proven by San Jose's inability to do anything in the playoffs the last 2 yrs. It could be because he's just not having fun anymore in SJ but that's a big chance to take signing him or even trading away a combo of Salvador, Jackman, and Tkachuk.
I think Salvador is worth a good prospect and a 1st or 2nd rd pick in next years draft to some teams like the rangers, washington, colorado and others who need a good d man with a good +/- for a playoff push. Jackman might be worth a 2nd and 4th or 5th, personally I wouldn't want him, he's lost his edge so to say that he used to have and just isn't as good offensively as he was. Tkachuk might be a hard player to move considering he didn't do shit for ATL in the playoffs last year so I don't think too many teams will be interested. I believe the Blues may also try to move Ryan Johnson since he will be a free agent next year, not sure if he's worth re signing at 10 pts and 0 +/- on the season unless they can get a decent deal out of him
Blues should try to get one or two of these players either via free agency or a trade with a guarantee signing since these players will be free agents in the next year or 2:
Jolli Jokinen, John Micheal Liles, Brian Campbell, Marian Hossa, Dan Boyle, Mycheal Ryder, Antoine Vermette,.....
