Ok, am i misunderstanding something or are you planning to swap a crank and bearings to another block? Thats not a good idea. Bearings are sposed to be sized to each individual application. I would whip out the plastigauge(sp?) and see if the bearings allow for the correct clearance before you put it all back together.N2HIFI;79564 wrote:thanks ryan appreciate that, dale and i are going to brain storm and do some part swapping from this block to my other good block (like crank and bearings.. other block spun a rod bearing but has perfect pistons and cylinder walls). So pretty much have to figure out a head and replacement valves... looks like i need two exhaust valves (if they are oem i have replacements) and then have it port and polished then reassembles it with the parts from this head and then put the motor back together again.
but i will let you know if i need anything

damnit chris... what if people are at work... title needs to be labled NWS, as for your motor, it's a terrible feeling to loose something you worked hard on , but i have a feeling that you'll turn this around and make it even better
