What do you suggest otherwise? The belts on the car are the original with 110k miles on them and in pretty good shape, just doing it to get it done now. I know Honda parts are good, so why risk it with anything else? Besides, Ive never heard what you have to say about oem parts vs others.GUNMETAL SI;78707 wrote:JESUS H. umm, just find someone who works at a dealership and ask them nicely to get the parts for you.
PS hueys marks up EVERYTHING they do 15% over cost for every dealership, as where others do only 10.

Well the reason I ask about cost is because I know dealerships dont all charge the same. About a year ago I priced around just for the job of changing the timing belt and I was surprised to find each dealership charged a different price for the job. So I know the parts are cheaper at certain dealerships and since I have like 10 parts to order, Id rather not call 5 dealerships and give them a big long list of crap. I figured it'd be easier to ask all you here...thats why I'm on the damn site.bildo16;78763 wrote:umm, just find someone who works at a dealership and ask them nicely to get the parts for you.

then their cost must be cheaper... I called around to order 8 pressure plate bolts a few years back, and when I called Mungenast "St. Louis Honda" I was quoted $8 a piece for them... I called Huey's and was quoted <$2 each. :dunno:bildo16;78763 wrote:umm, just find someone who works at a dealership and ask them nicely to get the parts for you.
