Ive never like hondata.SilverStreak;76441 wrote:After seeing this, I no longer support any Hondata product.
Id love to Donate, but $20? Anything is a donation. Seems like they are trying to get a certain amount of money by few users, instead of lesser amounts from many users.
Afterall, most used the tuning programs the site supports/ encourages because of the lack of being able to afford high dollar programs. Id say take the Min donation away, and accept ANY Donation.

In the world of tuning/engine management, $20 is NOTHING. I know you probably know that.andyjt;76461 wrote:Ive never like hondata.

I think if you have ever benefitted from a free / somewhat free engine management, it would be nice for that person to donate. If you have ever gotten a decent amount of information on that website.....donate $20, it really isn't much.
And keep in mind the use of free or cheaper engine managment has helped drive the prices of "real" engine management down. Whether you like it or not, it is true.

Never used a free engine management. Ive used Neptune and AEM. I have found the site very resourceful years ago when i used to look through it.5thgen;76512 wrote:In the world of tuning/engine management, $20 is NOTHING. I know you probably know that.

But, I think your missing my point. I have no problem donating the money. Im going for the fact that some people dont have $20 to spare around the holidays. I just feel that setting a Minimum donation keeps people away that could/ would donate maybe $5 or $10. The $20 should be a sugguested donation, not a minimum.

The way I look at it.....the majority of us spend a somewhat decent amount of money on our cars (as does the majority of people modifying any car). The $20 is a small fraction (again if you have used free management and / or gotten a bit of help from the website) of what we spend.andyjt;76532 wrote: But, I think your missing my point. And you (not you personally) really shouldn't feel obligated to pay the $20 if have more serious matters to take care of......thats life.
