seriously though, boosted anything has my vote.
theres my vote biatch. you know i like speed though so i would build the crx for maximum acceleration :)

I think you and Andyjt would be the only ones in the area looking to do that. That be awesome!
only ones in the area doing what? get out of st louis more because there is quite a few built turbo b-series (and d-series) making goooobs of power around here in midmo along with KC and springfield since you consider the lake area "around here" lol..

She was referring to the Dart block, not boosted Hondas.

Har, Har, Mike. People that have glass transmissions shouldn't throw stones....

Yes, every single option I listed is stuff I already have. There would be no money involved in any option I listed; just my time to do it. I really planned on doing the B18C5 in my 4 door. Everyone knows I already have a B18C in it so people around my parts (lake) would have no idea I changed things over the weekend.

CRX may be gone; not sure. If I still have it, I'm kind of leaning towards turbo Dart or an identical all motor Dart build like Honda tuning magazine just did. It made 267 whp and ran on 91 octane....

oh, thought she meant high hp hondas.. since i assumed someone with a dart block is going for big numbers. but dart blocks are a waste of money unless you get them for free *cough*. tony down here was running 10's at IFO on a BONE stock 100% LS from head to oil pan. i guess if you want 7's the dart block would be needed.. oh wait, no its not, stephanie eggum went 7's on on golden eagle sleeves i believe.. because their darton sleeved blocks got stolen or something and someone donated the block to them. something like that, i cant remember. but either way they used darton sleeves or goldeneagle sleeves in a honda block. absolutely nothing wrong with honda blocks, just like honda cranks and people that get eagle crap cranks.

I have to agree with you. Even stock sleeves on D16 blocks can handle 400whp. I think andyjt is going to be using the Dart tall block. IIRC, it increases the displacement to 2.6 liters (I'm unsure on the specs of the internals). I've been wondering what kind of power it would make with the extra displacement.

there has got to be a limmit to big hp on street driven cars. a massive turbo with massive displacement and massive numbers could make turning a little more difficult then driving grandmas buick. cut the wheel and let that turbo spool and you could be in a world of hurt. i really believe there is such a thing as an overkill street monster that would equal nothing but wheel spin. even with dot drag radials. am i wrong? im not saying it wouldn't be cool to build one! but is it really needed? like rob said 400 hp is d series worthy and that should be more than enough to kill some v8s on the highway. my 2 cents

Well, I'm really leaning towards just putting the B16A in it and putting it up for sale/trade. I think I may end up keeping the hatch and just do to it what I already have parts for. Either way, even a B16 that's healthy should be fun in it. Don't really care about it being stupid fast anyway. I guess if I keep it, I could always just throw the turbo kit i have on it. I figure this car should be pretty fun even if I was at low boost only making 220-230 whp.
